Senior Researcher
Fadzai Chipato holds a Masters in Rural Development and Management studies from China Agricultural University. She has six years of experience in conducting qualitative and quantitative research at the grassroots level. She has evaluated poverty reduction programs and projects in several Asian and African countries. She has experience in community development, sustainable livelihoods, natural resources management, and gender analysis. As the senior researcher, she is responsible for designing methodologies and the work that CTN CONSULTANCY conducts. She oversees the research team and takes the lead responsibility in ensuring that the CTN CONSULTANCY meets its deliverables in the stipulated time.
MERL and Strategic Planning Specialist
Ngoni has experience in monitoring, evaluation, reporting, research and learning for international organizations. She has led the preparation of reports, case studies and supporting organizations to have a well-grounded theory of change to guide them in their content production and brand. Her experience includes preparing multimedia content and leading the development of the infographics. She led the Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning and Reporting of the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) scholarship program implemented in 51 African countries. Highlights of her career include having the reports for DFAT identified as a good practice among all the global Australia Awards. She has over 10 years of experience in formative and summative evaluations, report writing, copy editing of progress and completion reports, including exit strategies. She has consulted for international organizations that include but not limited to the European Union, World Vision, United Nations, DFID. She has worked with several universities in Africa and Australia in developing ToC and conducting formative and summative evaluations. In all these assignments, she successfully consolidated data into easy to understand reports with clear recommendations. She has evaluated projects in different sectors including gender, extractives, agriculture, women empowerment, health and education. She uses participatory approaches in all her methodologies. To complement her professional experience, she holds an MPhil in Information and Knowledge Management Stellenbosch University with a focus on organizational learning and monitoring and evaluation for project-based organizations. Her thesis has received a lot of recognition among social project-based organizations with invitations to support teams to be a learning organization using her proposed approach. She incorporates learning methodologies in all the work that CTN is contracted. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate where her research looks at Monitoring and Evaluation for CSI projects.
Strategic Communications Specialist
Gugulethu is an accomplished professional with over 16 years’ experience in strategic marketing communications, stakeholder engagement, and project management – developing and implementing strategies – NGO administration, consulting and support; corporate communications, events management, digital media, PR, and external marketing. Her career began in traditional marketing communications and transitioned into digital marketing and communications in response to shifting organizational needs and industry trends.
She has brought a range of innovations to organizations that she has worked with. She has over seven years’ experience leading a, mainly creative, team (graphic designers, content developers, social media officers, and stakeholder relations officers). She has in-depth experience managing and coordinating the support of external suppliers, including web developers, photographers, videographers, and digital agencies, to ensure the production of quality output timeously. Her qualifications include a BA in Marketing Communications (University of Johannesburg), a PR Certificate (Varsity College), Certificate in Corporate Social Investment (Siyakhula Trust), a Post Diploma in Management (Wits Business School).
Associate Consultant
George Mudimu holds a BSc Honors in Public Administration (University of Zimbabwe), Masters in Public Administration (Tsinghua University, Beijing), and a Ph.D. in Public Management (Specialty in Rural Development and Management)- China Agricultural University). George has over ten years of experience in qualitative research. He has worked on land governance, youth and indigenisation programmes, and rural revitalization programmes. George was a research intern with the Sam Moyo African Institute of Agrarian Studies (SMAIAS) (January 2018-August 2018), is a member of the Emancipatory Rural Politics Initiative and the Collective of Scholar- Activists from the South.
George has published in journals such as The Journal of Peasant Studies; Agrarian South: Journal of Political Economy; Review of African Political Economy; Journal of Contemporary African Studies; and GeoJournal. Also, George regularly writes opinion pieces in newspapers in Zimbabwe, and he is also an editor of blogsite Peasants Corners that focuses on agrarian change in the countryside.
Associate Consultant
Nkumbu Nalwimba focuses her researches on foreign aid, agricultural investments, farmer input programs, agricultural value chains, and livelihoods. She has experience in agriculture management, sustainable development, and agribusiness, where she is involved with the Ministry of agriculture in Zambia for over ten years. In her recent work, she was responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of farmer input subsidies in Zambia. She has attained short courses in microfinance and social protection. She holds a Ph.D. in Rural Development and Management from China Agricultural University. She is well-published, and her research articles are published; in The Journal of Peasant Studies; GeoJournal, among other journals.
